Here are the top five stories today in Tampa:
1. Two people were injured and one person was killed in a shooting last weekend early Saturday morning in the 1500 block of North Nebraska Avenue in Tampa. The motive is unknown for the shooting at this time. An investigation is now underway. (Tampa Patch)
2. Tampa's Buddy Brew Coffee is expanding to the University of South Florida's Judy Genshaft Honors College. The new café will be located on the first floor of the building and comes as Buddy Brew expands its presence in grocery stores, including The Fresh Market. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Business Journal)
3. The Tampa-Hillsborough Community Remembrance Project hosted a ceremony along the Riverwalk at Doyle Carlton Drive and West Laurel Street on Monday explaining the history behind a lynching marker placed there. The marker is the first of its kind in Tampa and was supported by local politicians including Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and Councilman Luis Viera. (WTSP)
4. The Florida Aquarium has opened a new Rooftop Terrace that is now available for hosting parties, weddings, or other celebrations in Tampa. Guests can enjoy waterfront views from the venue. The terrace boasts a new solar-panel pavilion that provides shade from the sun, while utilizing green energy. (813area.com)
5. Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay and Hillsborough County Affordable Housing Services recently presented Valrico resident Terri Hughes with the keys to a new home where her old house once stood. The goal of Rebuilding Tampa Bay is to "preserve affordable housing for low-income homeowners." (Tampa Patch)

- The Tampa Police Department has named Crystal Clark as its new Director of Communications and Public Affairs. Clark previously served as Chief Communications Officer for more than four years at Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. (Press Release Desk)
