Here are the top five stories in Tampa today:
1. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's 5th annual Bier Fest kicked off Friday, August 12, and will feature an all-new Oktoberfest-inspired menu this year. The event runs every Friday through Sunday until September 5. (ABC Action News)
2. The Florida Department of Health is prioritizing who can be vaccinated for monkeypox at the moment, like it did early on with COVID-19. There is a limited supply nationwide and in Florida of monkeypox vaccines. Those in Tampa Bay interested in the vaccine should contact their local health department. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times)
3. In a blow to housing activists, St. Petersburg City Council failed to advance rent control in a 3-5 vote, joining city of Tampa which voted down a rent control measure last week as well. The votes come amid soaring rent prices in the Tampa Bay area. Activists decried the lack of support from elected officials. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
4. Plans for Tampa International Airport's Airside D are back on the table after a pandemic pause. It will host a 16-gate terminal for domestic and international flights on about 563,000 square feet. A vote will be held September 8 on the funding plan which will be nearly $790 million. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Business Journal)
5. The reward for tips leading to the killer of 61-year-old Richard Martin near Robles Park in Tampa has increased to $9,500. Martin was found dead in the 3100 block of North Elmore Avenue alongside Robles Park in Tampa on July 5. (Tampa Patch)

- More than 200 collectables from a vintage village called Gallopsville in North Tampa will hit auction today at 10 a.m. The property is at 914 East 128th Avenue in Tampa. (Fox 13)
