I-4 Exit Lanes To I-275 Open After Crash

A Monday morning flatbed trailer crash had forced the closing of I-4 exit ramp lanes onto I-275.

TAMPA, FL — Update July 31 1:11 p.m.: The Florida Highway Patrol has announced that all exit ramp lanes from Interstate 4 onto southbound Interstate 275 had reopened following a Monday morning crash. No further information is available at this time.

The Florida Highway Patrol is warning motorists to steer clear of westbound Interstate 4 near the southbound Interstate 275 exit ramp Monday morning.

According to Sgt. Steve Gaskins, a flatbed tractor trailer crash has forced the closing of “all lanes to southbound I-275.” Gaskins said the tractor portion of the truck is “protruding partially over the barrier wall” with the trailer blocking the lanes.

“Motorists should seek alternate southbound routes to I-275,” Gaskins wrote in an 11:15 a.m. email to media.

No one was injured in the crash, Gaskins said. No further information is available at this time.
