1. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has refused to reinstate suspended Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren to office, after a judge ruled that DeSantis violated Florida law when he removed Warren from office but lacked the power to reinstate him. Warren is now exploring other legal remedies in the dispute including an appeal or filing another lawsuit. (WFLA)
2. Tampa City Council has voted unanimously to ask the city's legal team to create an ordinance that would require notification of civil rights investigations within 10 days. The move comes after the Mayor's office took months to notify other elected officials about a U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into the Tampa Police Department (TPD). 3. Police have released a video in connection to a deadly shooting at a Tampa apartment complex and are asking the public for help. A 26-year-old woman was shot and killed in the incident on Jan. 18 at Silver Oaks Apartments in Tampa. The victim was a mother and pregnant. (WTSP)
