
Busch Gardens' newest residents now have new names.
The two 4-month-old lion cub sisters arrived at Busch Gardens May 18 without names. So Busch Gardens asked its Facebook fans to choose some.
During a weeklong poll, 6,000 Busch Gardens Tampa Facebook fans chose the names Shaba and Shtuko.

Shaba means “brazen,” and Shtuko means “twitch” in Swahili. The Busch Gardens animal care team said the monikers fit the personalities of the cubs. Shaba is sassy and bold while Shtuko is full of personality and bounces around with lots of energy.
The sisters were born March 20 in South Africa. They arrived at Busch Gardens with a male cub who is not related. He's a month older.

The animal care team will choose the name for the male cub.
The animal care team has now introduced the cubs to the Edge of Africa attraction at the park where they can be viewed by park visitors.
