1. A man was fatally shot in North Tampa after pointing a fake gun at another man on Thursday night. The incident happened at the 8500 block of North Hamner Avenue off North Boulevard. Possible charges are being reviewed with the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office. (Tampa Patch)

2. Tampa Bay’s only professional basketball team, "The Tampa Bay Fury", is headed into the team's third season. The team won an ABA Division Championship in their first season and continues to advance. The team starts the season ranked no. 20 out of over 160 teams in the American Basketball Association. 3. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Florida hosted a news conference Sunday with local criminal justice advocates to call for more transparency from Tampa Police department. Tampa City Council members will meet Tuesday to decide whether proposed changes to the Citizens Review Board will end up on the ballot in 2023. (WFLA)

4. Macondo Coffee Roasters recently opened in The Village at The Grove. The new cafe offers a selection of roasts from Colombia, breakfast and lunch items, as well as smoothies. The location was previously Degajé at The Grove. (New Tampa & Wesley Chapel Neighborhood News)

5. Hillsborough County Schools is launching two new magnet schools programs, the Bowers Whitley Building and Construction Academy and DW Waters Medical Academy. The deadline to apply is Dec. 16 and the district will hold an information session on all programs at ZooTampa on Nov. 3rd. (Bay News 9)
