  1. Florida Rep. Greg Steube was injured after an accident at his Sarasota home on Wednesday afternoon. Steubefell fell off his roof and was taken to a Sarasota hospital, according to Florida Politics. He was first elected to office in 2018. (WFLA, Florida Politics)
  2. The Patel Conservatory will host a celebration of female composers and the influence of women in music in "Faculty Recital: Wonder Women" on Tuesday, Jan. 24. It will include the works of Hildegard von Bingen, Fanny Mendelssohn, Libby Larsen, Alexandra Pakhmutova, Audrey Call and Joni Mitchell.   3. Hillsborough County Superintendent Addison Davis took aim at unions as to why teachers have yet to receive a piece of the state's $800 million allocation for raises. Superintendents at seven additional districts also complained about the progress of talks with unions. Teachers unions, in turn, were dismayed by the attacks on their organizations by leaders in the school districts. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times)
  4. Tampa Police Department (TPD) arrested a 16-year-old teenager accused of shooting at an unmarked patrol car on Tuesday. Police said plainclothes officers from the TPD Street Anti-Crime Squad were patrolling in the 3600 block of 54th Street in an unmarked police car at 5:41 p.m. when they spotted a group of people gathered outside a home and one individual began firing at the vehicle.
