Former Deputy Charged In Road-Rage Incident: Hillsborough Sheriff
The former deputy, who threw a bottle at a driver in another vehicle, currently works for Hillsborough County Schools, HCSO said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A former Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested in connection with a road-rage incident that happened on Sunday, the agency said.
Brandon Scott Parker, 47, was charged with throwing a deadly missile at or into an occupied conveyance.
A victim and her two teenage children were traveling south on Bell Shoals Road on Sunday when they approached a red light at the Fishhawk Boulevard intersection around 12:45 p.m. As the light turned green, the vehicle in front of them didn’t move, prompting the victim to honk her horn to alert the driver.

Investigators identified Parker as the suspect. He was arrested Monday.
Parker, who worked for HCSO from 2003 to 2016, is currently an employee of Hillsborough County Public Schools.
“This type of violent behavior is absolutely unacceptable, especially from someone who once wore a badge,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “There is no excuse for escalating a traffic dispute into an act that caused injury to an innocent driver. No one is above the law, and we will hold individuals accountable for their actions, regardless of their past or current affiliations.”
