
The Tampa Bay History Center will offer free admission for all visitors as part of Smithsonian Magazine’sMuseum Day on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
As part of Smithsonian Day, living history re-enactors representing several eras of Florida history will be on hand, and visitors will also have the opportunity to see the History Center’s current exhibition, Charting the Land of Flowers: 500 Years of Florida Maps, which features more than 150 Florida maps from 1493 through today.
In order to receive free admission, museum-goers will need to download an official Museum Day ticket from theSmithsonian Magazine website, which is good for two people. Smithsonian Day at the Tampa Bay History Center is made possible by Dex Imaging.

A Smithsonian Affiliate museum, the History Center is among a prestigious national list of affiliates and is one of only three Smithsonian Affiliates in Tampa Bay, and one of only 13 in Florida.
