Halloween Monday might be a bit cooler with sunny skies and a high around 84 degrees expected in much of the region. Mostly clear skies should greet trick-or-treaters. The overnight low should fall into the mid-60s, so some ghosts and goblins may want to bring a sweater along on their journeys.
Rain is not expected to be a serious concern through Monday, but the Weather Channel does say there’s about a 10 percent chance for showers daily starting Saturday. Organized severe weather isn’t in the cards, but boaters can anticipate winds of around 20 knots over offshore waters throughout the weekend. Those winds, the weather service said, could create hazardous conditions for small craft operators.

Beach goers may also want to check on local conditions before heading out. A patchy red tide bloom off Florida’s south and central Gulf Coast is continuing to cause problems in some areas, including Manatee, Pinellas and Sarasota counties.
