Hillsborough Firefighters Rescue Dog From Apartment Fire

Firefighters pulled a dog from one of the apartments while conducting a search of the building as they battled the fire.

TAMPA, FL - Hillsborough County firefighters rescued a dog from an apartment fire Tuesday morning in the 8800 block of Beacon Isles Drive in Tampa. During a search of the building, firefighters pulled a dog from one of the apartments. The dog is not injured and listed in good health.

Firefighters received a 911 call of a reported apartment fire about 8:12 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they reported smoke and fire coming from a first floor apartment. Two apartments were damaged in the fire. Firefighters took approximately 30 minutes to bring the fire under control, and there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
