Hooters Celebrates 40 Years in 2023, Celebration Starts with Calendar
One dollar from every 2023 Hooters calendar supports breast cancer research.

TAMPA BAY, FL — The 2023 Hooters Calendar is now available at your local Hooters. Tampa Bay area employees featured in the calendar include “Miss October 2023” Rilee Beltramea who works at the Clearwater Hooters location, Gracie Chamberlain who is on the back cover from the Brandon Hooters location and Iliana Rodriguez who is on the inside back cover and works at the North Tampa Hooters location. There are over 25 other local Hooters Girls also featured throughout the calendar and pull-out poster.
During the entire month of October, Hooters is holding its annual “Give a Hoot” fundraising campaign. Donations at the 22 Hooters locations in Tampa Bay and Chicagoland will support Moffitt Cancer Center. There are multiple opportunities to support the cause, including purchasing a 2023 Hooters Calendar. $1 of every calendar sold helps fight breast cancer. The calendars are available for purchase for $14.99 and include over $100 in coupons.
The calendar is celebrating Hooters’ 40th Anniversary in 2023. The first Hooters Calendar was released in fall 1985, two years after the first Hooters opened in October 1983 in Clearwater. All of the 200 ladies in the calendar work at Hooters restaurants across the country and were selected from thousands of candidates.

Since 2002, HMC Hospitality Group has donated over $989,311 to Moffitt Cancer Center through “Give a Hoot” and other charitable commitments. The program is held annually in honor of HMC Hospitality Group’s own Kelly Jo Dowd, who was a Hooters Girl, 1995 Hooters Calendar Cover Girl and ultimately the Palm Harbor restaurant General Manager. Dowd succumbed to breast cancer in 2007. Hooters has raised more than $8 million over time to support the fight against breast cancer, much of it through the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund benefiting the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
