I-4 Tops List Of Most Dangerous Roadways
I-4 accounted for 165 traffic fatalities between 2011-2015.

TAMPA, FL - Interstate 4 topped the list of most dangerous roadways in the nation, according to a recent study. The 25 Most Dangerous Interstates study was conducted by the GPS software management company Teletrac Navman.
I-4 which connects Tampa, Orlando and Daytona Beach, accounted for 165 traffic fatalities between 2011-2015; that's 1.25 deaths per mile. So far this year, there have been 21 fatal crashes on the 132-mile interstate.
Other Florida highways were ranked in the top 5 most dangerous interstates. State Road 192, a 75-mile highway that connects Four Corners to Indialantic, was ranked the third most dangerous roadway with .867 deaths per mile. Also, the study shows I-95 ranks as the fifth most dangerous highway. I-95, which stretches from Miami to Weston, Mass., had .730 deaths per mile, making it the fifth most dangerous highway.

The analysis is based on fatality data gathered on the U.S. numbered and interstate highway systems over a five-year period (2011-2015).
