TAMPA, FL — As the Tampa Police Department continues to investigate the death of a woman found in a street Thursday, its officers have released the woman's identity.   According to the agency, Latoya D. Smith, 30, was found in the 2100 block of West Flora Street Thursday afternoon, suffering from head injuries. Smith was taken to a local hospital, but died later from her injuries.    The investigation into Smith's death remains active with detectives following "promising leads," the agency wrote in an email to media.
