It's Official: Ceviche Makes World's Largest Sangria
The Sangria Fest at Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant raised $1,500 for tornado relief efforts in Oklahoma.

Tampa can now lay claim to a new Guinness World Records title.
At its Sangria Fest Saturday, June 1, Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant, 2500 W. Azeele St., in South Tampa made the world's largest Sangria. The Sangria was certified on the day of the fest by a Guinness adjudicator.
The minimum requirement for the record was 1,000 liters, and Ceviche cleared it with 1,022 liters (or almost 35,000 ounces).

The 9-foot Sangria pitcher used for the 1-ton concoction is a replica of the pitchers used at Ceviche's six locations where more than a half a million glasses of Ceviche's house-made Sangria was served last year.
The world's largest Sangria used more than 750 bottles of wine and 500 pounds of fruit along with plenty of brandy, Triple Sec and simple syrup.

“Our secret Sangria recipe is a legendary guest favorite at Ceviche so setting the official title not only seemed appropriate, but a great way to kick off the summer,” said Ceviche’s CEO Joe Orsino.
With variations including red, white and sparkling, Sangria is a typical drink served throughout Spain, Portugal and Argentina, and consists primarily of wine, brandy and chopped fruit such as oranges, apples, peaches or berries.
The more than 700 people attending Ceviche’s Sangria Fest not only witnessed the creation of the world’s largest Sangria, but enjoyed all-you-can-drink Sangria.
The fest also raised $1,500 for the American Red Cross' tornado relief efforts in Oklahoma.
