Manhunt On For Accused Murderer
Police are searching for the man accused of gunning down Julius R. Carter on a Tampa street in early July.

TAMPA, FL — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 22-year-old man accused of opening fire on Julius R. Carter, 32, as he stood in the middle of North Phillips Street on July 3. Tampa Police detectives say Dejonta Jerome Felder is wanted on second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm charges in connection with the case.
According to police, Carter and Felder got into an argument in the 3400 block of North Phillips Street. Felder is accused of ending that argument by pulling out a gun and shooting Carter several times.

Suffering multiple gunshot wounds, Carter fled from the street and into a nearby backyard. There, police say, he died from his injuries.
A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to Felder’s arrest. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS. Anonymous tips may also be submitted online by visiting www.crimestopperstb.com.
