1. Weatherford Capital, Tampa's largest private equity firm, has signed a lease at Thousand & One office tower in Water Street Tampa. The firm has signed nearly 10,000 square feet on the building's 12th floor and is moving from the other side of downtown Tampa. (Tampa Patch)

2. Related Group is pressing forward with its Manor West River development in west Tampa, according to Tampa Bay Business Journal. The luxury project will feature an eight-story, 360-unit building. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Business Journal)

3. The 33rd annual India Festival is today from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Floria State Fairgrounds. Organizers expect around 12,000 people at the event. 4. Tampa City Council members have proposed an internal affairs investigation into a police officer, who is also a high-level police union member, about allegations of spying on a local activist. 5. A Riverview man and his dog have died in a mobile home fire, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. The incident happened at Pleasant Living mobile home community early Friday morning. (WTSP)
