1. Tampa police are seeking information on a man who robbed a Quick Pick Liquors store located at 6815 North Armenia Ave. in Tampa early Saturday morning. The man broke a window at 1:29 a.m. to enter the store, went through the cash register and grabbed four bottles of Hennessy before leaving, according to police. (Tampa Patch)
2. Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver Michael Clayton has taken a job as head coach at Plant City High School. He joins a group of former Bucs players joining staff at local schools. Clayton played nine seasons in the NFL and six seasons of that with the Bucs and winning a Super Bowl championship with the New York Giants. (ABC Action News)
3. Tarpon Springs City Attorney Tom Trask is resigning over what he said are "baseless public attacks" over the last several months and is severing his firm's ties with the city. Commissioners have questioned invoicing by Trask and brought up other incidents at other cities around Pinellas County. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times)
4. The Ybor City Buffalo Wild Wings and the only one in city of Tampa has now permanently closed after 10 years of business, according to local reports. The location at 1625 E. 7th Avenue will be replaced with a bar named "Southern Belle." (Creative Loafing Tampa)
5. City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and the city of Tampa are sending a message to tree-cutting businesses, builders and residents that everyone needs to protect Tampa's tree canopy from "reckless destruction." The victory march comes as a Circuit Court judge has upheld a $234,427.50 fine against tree cutter, Miller & Sons LLC. (City Of Tampa)
