1. BayCare Health System has acquired Northside Behavorial Health Center at 12512 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. in Tampa as of Jan. 1. "We are thrilled to add more than 100 former Northside employees to our BayCare family," said Gail Ryder, BayCare's vice president of behavioral health." (Tampa Patch)
2. A man was shot and killed Friday evening in Temple Terrace, according to a news release on Tuesday afternon. The inciden happened at 11407 N. 52nd St. at around 8:08 p.m. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Temple Terrace Police Department at 813-989-7110. 3. Polk County will receive $30 million over the next 18 years to help fight the opioid epidemic. In 2020, county commissioners tracked a 39 percent jump in overdose deaths from the drugs in Polk County. The first payment of $400,000 will be used to assist in fighting the opioid crisis. 4. The Mill located at 200 Central Ave. is closing down after a decade in downtown St. Petersburg. The owners blamed the closeure on construction messing with their business. "It has become so invasive to our space that we feel we can no longer ensure the safety of our staff and patrons alike. It is because of this we have been forced into the heartbreaking decision of closure at this location." (Creative Loafing Tampa)
5. The Mayor’s monthly Food Truck Fiesta is back for 2023 at Lykes Gaslight Park today. Participating food trucks include St. Pete Taco Lady, Pamz Pizza Conez, Honey Hole Eats, Sweetie's BBQ, and Ceviches on Wheels. (That's So Tampa)
