TAMPA, FL — Tampa police investigators believe speed was the cause of a crash on Saturday that killed a motorcyclist.
Police were called to the 1100 block of West Sligh Avenue at 4:13 p.m. after a report of a crash involving a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Kawasaki motorcycle.
Based on the investigation, the driver of the Hyundai was making a left turn to head east on West Sligh Avenue when the driver of the Kawasaki, who was traveling west on West Sligh Avenue, collided with the driver's side of the SUV.

The motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s, died at the scene.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
