Arrest Made In 2022 Fatal FL Liquor Store Shooting
A man who fled to Mexico was arrested for murder in connection to a 2022 fatal shooting at a Plant City liquor store, the sheriff said.
PLANT CITY, FL — An arrest was made Wednesday in connection with a 2022 fatal liquor store shooting in Plant City, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Oscar Juan Molina, 48, was taken into custody after he was found in Hillsborough County.
He was charged with premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm, premeditated first-degree attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, as well as two out-of-county warrants for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Molina was wanted in connection to a homicide that happened on April 13, 2022, at Twilight Zone Liquor, 4010 State Road 60 E.
A fight inside the business escalated to a shooting in the parking lot in which one person was killed, the sheriff’s office said.

After the shooting, Molina fled to Mexico and remained out of the country. After learning he returned to Hillsborough County, HCSO apprehended him, the agency said.
“This arrest brings long-awaited closure to the victim’s family and sends a clear message: we never stop seeking justice,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "This suspect believed he could disappear, but our determination to bring justice to victims and their families never fades. Thanks to the relentless efforts of our detectives, this dangerous individual is now exactly where he belongs, behind bars."
