1. The Tampa Bay Rays enjoyed a 12-4 win over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. All nine batters in the Rays lineup had at least one hit during the game. The Rays will face Miami next on Tuesday, August 30. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times, Free: Bally Sports)

2. The Hillsborough County school tax referendum has failed after a recount did not produce enough votes to change the outcome. The proposed property millage tax failed by 590 votes. 3. A group of six people were seen and recorded holding the Nazi flag and anti-abortion banners on Saturday in Pinellas County. One of the banners said "End abortion, Save white babies."
