New Sprouts Grocery Store To Open Friday In Uptown Tampa

TAMPA, FL — Sprouts Farmers Market has announced it will open its newest store in Tampa on Sept. 15 at 2150 E. Fowler Ave. in Uptown Tampa. A ribbon-cutting will take place Friday morning at 6:45 a.m. The doors to the store will open at 7 a.m.
“We are thrilled that Sprouts is planting another seed in the city of Tampa, expanding its business to offer fresh, quality food to more of our residents while creating hundreds of jobs that will positively impact our local economy,” said Tampa Mayor Jane Castor. “I look forward to watching this market bloom.”
Grand opening weekend events from Friday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 17 include a “pop-up party” out front where guests can taste seasonal produce from “fruit school," play games, have their faces painted, watch artists carve large produce, participate in a special “guess the weight” contest of an oversized piece of produce and more.

The first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free Goodness it’s Free reusable goodie bag filled with special products and samples. Inside the store, shoppers can taste new products while they shop for innovative brands at the Vendor Village.
On Friday, the first 400 customers will receive a free long-stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Flora. Beginning at 11 a.m. shoppers will be treated to a free hotdog lunch from Dietz and Watson, Kettle brand potato chips, Hero Bakery and Ture Made Condiments, while supplies last.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. Danny Seo, editor-in-chief of Naturally, will give out free, signed hard-cover copies of his cookbook, "Naturally, Delicious Dinners" thanks to Simply Organic.
On Sunday beginning at noon, dog lovers will be gifted dog treats from Bundle X Joy and kids will enjoy a reusable coloring tote activity, while supplies last. Plus, there will be music and prize giveaways throughout the weekend.
In anticipation of the opening, shoppers will have the chance to win a $500 Sprouts gift card up until midnight on Sept. 17 when they sign up via the website. Additionally, customers who text “TOWN” to 777-688 will receive 20 percent off their purchase over the grand opening weekend when they scan their app account barcode at checkout (up to two redemptions per Sprouts account per day.) Shoppers can also view Sprouts’ weekly ad and save more than $100 with digital coupons on grocery staples and new items every month on the app.
The celebrations and discounts won’t end after this grand opening weekend. Starting the following Monday, customers will receive $10 off when they spend $50 or more, with a valid coupon.
Sprouts Farmers Market is invested in serving the communities where it operates. It works with local farmers like J&C Tropicals, Wish Farms, Santa Sweets and others to source produce.
Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, this store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient-rich to Feeding Tampa Bay.
