Lion Meat Tacos Off The Menu In South Tampa

South Tampa's Taco Fusion had hoped that carrying exotic meats would prove a popular, and lucrative addition to their menu. However, outcry on local media websites and social media may have been the reason for them to pull the lion meat tacos off of their menu.

The tacos were being sold for $35.

Taco Fusion posted this statement on their webiste:

"Thank you all for the feedback regarding the lion meat promotion at Taco Fusion™ Some of you were supportive, some of you were angry. We listened to everyone and decided to no longer carry Lion.

The lion meat is sold out and we do not plan to carry it again. Thank you all for your feedback."

According to TBO.com, "Taco Fusion has served exotic meats since opening Feb. 11 on Bay to Bay Boulevard, but they only started serving lion a few days ago."
