'Person Of Interest' In New York Terror Attack Has Tampa Ties
The FBI and New York Police Department has located Mukhammadzoir Kadirov, an Uzbek national.

TAMPA, FL - The FBI has located a "person of interest" in the terror attack in New York City and he also has ties to Tampa. The FBI and New York Police Department has located Mukhammadzoir Kadirov, an Uzbek national. The suspect in the attack, Sayfullo Saipov, 29, was charged Wednesday with one count of material support to a terrorist organization and violence and destruction of motor vehicles.
Saipov lived at a Tampa apartment complex earlier this year, but has since moved to Paterson, N.J. Saipov is accused of the bike path attack in New York City that left eight people dead and 12 injured. Kadirov was not named a suspect, but the FBI said it wanted information on him.
FBI Assistant Director in Charge Bill Sweeney said Wednesday the agency had located Kadirov: "We've found him, and we'll leave it at that." Kadirov lived at Lakewood Village in south Fort Myers as recently as August, WINK News reported.

Saipov appeared in court in a wheelchair and was ordered detained. He didn't enter a plea.
Some former neighbors of Saipov at the Heritage at Tampa apartments say they were shocked to learn that he is accused of the terror attack, the Tampa Bay Times reported. Saipov was described as shy, with a quiet voice. "He was a small man. Like 100 pounds," former neighbor Kyong Eagan told the Times.
"He never said anything bad about this country," said Eagan, who says Saipov, his wife and children moved about seven months ago. Saipov was a truck driver, according to multiple reports.
