Person Of Interest Sought In Tampa Homicide
Tampa Police are looking for a 22-year-old man who may have information about Julius Carter's July 3 shooting death.
TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department has named a person of interest in a July 3 shooting that left a 32-year-old man dead. Julius Carter, authorities say, was shot multiple times before his death.
Police say they would like to speak with Dejonta Jerome Felder, 22, about an argument he and Carter allegedly got into prior to the shooting. Police say Felder has ties to the Grant Park area and also has outstanding, unrelated warrants out for his arrest.
Carter was gunned down in the 3400 block of Phillips Street on July 3. Police say it appears he “knew the suspect and that he attempted to turn or walk away” when the shots rang out.

Police say Carter’s funeral will take place over the weekend. They’re “asking for the community to provide any information that they may have so the Carter family can have a sense of closure.”
