1. Tampa International Airport kicked off a new nonstop route on Wednesday between Tampa and London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic's Sir Richard Branson. The new route will offer more than 190,000 seats each year and is the only connection Tampa will have to the hub. The inaugural flight was held Thursday. (Tampa Patch)

2. Water Street Tampa will host its first Season Spectacular holiday celebration on Water Street on Friday, Nov. 18. The holiday-themed event will include photos with Santa Claus, live music, a holiday-themed silent disco, hot chocolate bar, as well as seasonal cocktails and bites. (That's So Tampa)

4. Tampa Police detectives are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains at a vacant property in the 200 block of West Emily Street on Wednesday. The investigation will continue to seek to understand the cause of death and the identity of the remains. (Tampa Patch)

5. Police have identified a suspect in the shooting and killing of a man's pet dachshund in Seminole Heights in an armed robbery last week. The suspect is 17 years old, and police say the accused teen almost killed the man who ran from the man shooting at the victim. Surveillance footage from neighbors was used by police to track the suspect. (WFLA)
