Police-Involved Shooting In Tampa Under Investigation
The shooting on Channelside Drive was reported shortly after the Tampa Bay Lightning game started nearby, a report said.
TAMPA, FL — Authorities are investigating a police-involved shooting on Channelside Drive in Tampa Saturday night.
Tampa police said in a tweet that the shooting happened in the 600 block of Channelside Drive. There were no police officers injured and police said there was no threat to the public.
The shooting, near Sparkman Wharf, was reported not long after the Tampa Bay Lightning game started just down the street at Amalie Arena, WFLA News Channel 8 reported.
