Quinton Flowers Named 2016 CFPA National Performer Of The Year

The USF quarterback joins the likes of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston in receiving the award.

TAMPA, FL – After its first double-digit win season and first-ever season-ending ranking in the Top 25, the national recognition keeps coming for the USF football team.

This time, the spotlight was on junior quarterback Quinton Flowers, who was named the 2016 College Football Performance Awards National Performer of the Year.

The CFPA provides the most scientifically rigorous awards in college football, according to the association’s website. “Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams,” it states.
