Detectives Have New Lead In Cold Case Homicide Of Sun City Center Resident

Investigators are trying to find Gregory Bernard Williams, 51, to speak with him about a 22-year-old cold case, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release.

They believe the Sun City Center resident has additional information about the 2001 homicide of 20-year-old Wajid Coleman.

Global Warming May Cause Earlier Hurricane Season

A gradual increase in ocean temperatures is causing major, destructive hurricanes to form earlier now than they did decades ago, according to a new study.

In a study, researchers found intense tropical cyclones were forming 3.7 days earlier per decade in the northern hemisphere and 3.2 days per decade earlier in the southern hemisphere.

Tampa 6th Top Spot In U.S. To Get Java Jumpstart

According to WalletHub, Americans consume 491 million cups of coffee every day, and a big share of those cups of coffee are sipped in Tampa. The personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2023's Best Coffee Cities in America and rated Tampa as the sixth-best city in America to get a great cup of coffee.

Patient Gouged Out Roommate’s Eyes At South Florida State Hospital

A patient at South Florida State Hospital gouged out his roommate’s eyes during a Friday afternoon fight, according to a Pembroke Pines Police Department news release.

Officers responded to the hospital just before 5 p.m. after being called about a physical altercation between roommates.
