1. A family's pet was shot and later died following an armed robbery of a man who was walking his two dachshunds in Seminole Heights on Friday night. The incident happened in the 2600 block of West Powhatan Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities. (Tampa Patch)
2. Buzzed Bull Creamery, a new boozy ice-cream concept, is opening up its first Florida location on Tuesday, Nov. 1 in Tampa's WestShore neighborhood at 5220 Bridge St. The shop will feature at least 30 nitrogen-infused flavors that will have at least 5% ABV. 3. 28 of Lakeland's royal swans were put up for sale Friday. People who purchased a swan were required to prove that they have a predator-free environment for the animals with an appropriate water source. (ABC Action News)
4. The University of Tampa has renamed a building after the Publix Jenkins family. Howard and Patricia Jenkins gave a "generous" donation for an undisclosed amount for student learning in topics of health and technology, according to UT. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Business Journal)
5. A 38-seat theater called Screen Door Microcinema is now open in Ybor City. The theater features two 35mm projectors and tickets are now available to showings. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
