Wednesday is expected to start off with sunny skies and a high in the low 90s. Rain chances creep into the picture heading into the afternoon and overnight hours. Those chances, forecasters say, are slight though and aren’t likely to cool things off much. The overnight low is once again expected to fall only into the low 70s.

Thursday is anticipated to bring a return of sunny skies. The high is expected to climb into the low 90s. Partly cloudy skies are likely in the nighttime hours with a low in the low- to mid-70s expected.

Friday brings the workweek’s highest likelihood for rain with a 30-percent chance forecast during the daytime hours. The high, however, should still reach the low 90s. Rain chances are expected to stick around heading into the overnight hours when the low will drop into the mid-70s or so.

Stronger rain chances are predicted over the weekend with Sunday expected to witness a 40-percent chance of storms. Highs, however, should still reach the low 90s both Saturday and Sunday.

With hot, dry conditions expected to continue through the start of the week, the weather service is warning that fire risks remain high. Although red flag warnings are not in place in the Tampa Bay area, forecasters say that “very dry conditions will continue to support high fire dangers across the area and the use of any outdoor flame is not recommended.”

In Monday’s Hazardous Weather Outlook report, the weather service noted that fire dangers will persist through the first part of the week. Conditions, however, are hoped to improve some by mid- to late week, “especially by late in the week and into next weekend when better prospects for much-needed rain” are expected.
