Soundgarden To Headline 98Rockfest 2017 At Amalie Arena
Florida bands A Day to Remember and Pierce the Veil will also perform at the annual concert festival.

TAMPA, FL – The first grunge band to sign to a major record label is set to headline the annual 98Rockfest this spring.
Soundgarden, best known for their Grammy Award-winning singles “Black Hole Sun” and Spoonman,” was announced today as the lead act by 98Rock personalities Deuce and Big Rig for the concert festival slated for Friday, April 28 at 6 p.m. at Amalie Arena.
Tickets are set to go on sale for 98Rockfest 2017 on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. Prices are $19.98 per ticket for four-packs, $25, $45 and $75. VIP ticket packages start at $199.

The VIP ticket will grant early entry into an exclusive private acoustic performance by one of the 98Rockfest performers at 5:15 p.m. VIP tickets also includes VIP parking; early entry; entry into the VIP-only party inside the Firestick Grill from 4:30 to 8 p.m., where finger foods and complimentary soda and water will be served; VIP seating, which includes seats closest to the stage; and a 98Rockfest commemorative laminate.

Aside from Soundgarden, the rest of the lineup from today’s unveiling include Florida bands A Day to Remember and Pierce the Veil, plus Highly Suspect, Nothing More, Beartooth and Starset.
98Rockfest will kick off with a free pre-show on Ford Thunder Alley at Amalie Arena. The event will be headlined by Starset and include performances by Dinosaur Pile-Up, Loose Talk and 98Rock’s Skratch N Sniff. The pre-show, which will open to people of all ages at 2 p.m., will feature interactive contests and ticket upgrades from participating sponsors.
