Here are the top five stories in Tampa today:

1. A 39-year-old Tampa woman, Rolanda Wingfield, will spend three years in federal prison after she plead guilty to fraud and identity theft related to COVID-19 unemployment insurance benefits. Wingfield was ordered to pay $135,576 in restitution to the various state workforce agencies she defrauded. (Tampa Patch)

2. The new Apollo Beach flyover opened to traffic this past weekend, connecting Apollo Beach with U.S. 301 and aiding congestion in the area. The project also added safety features for bicyclists and pedestrians. (Bay News 9)

3. Tampa police arrested 26-year-old John Inglis on Saturday morning after he was allegedly caught impersonating a police officer and pulling people over, according to a release. According to the investigators, Inglis had previously taken someone's gun after pulling them over on I-75. (WFLA)

4. Stageworks Theatre has announced its 40th season. The 2022-23 season will feature a mixture of award-winning dramas, musicals, audience favorites and a world premiere. Tickets are now available and monthly subscriptions are also being offered for the first time. (Tampa Patch)

5. University of South Florida (USF)'s college of public health was given over $1 million to grow the public health laboratory workforce from the Association of Public Health Laboratories. The funding comes from an initiatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The money will be used for over a dozen students in the public health doctor of pharmacy program.   • City workers represented by the city of Tampa's largest labor union have overwhelmingly approved a new contract that delivers the "highest wage increase ever," according to Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1464 President Steve Simon. It includes an 18% pay raise for municipal workers over three years. (WMNF)
