While strong storm chances aren’t in the forecast for the week ahead, rain isn't entirely out of the question. The Weather Channel says there's about 10 percent chance for showers most days this week.
Despite mild conditions in the forecast for landlubbers, the weather service is warning small craft operators to take care on Tampa Bay area waters in the evening hours this week.
“Each night with the easterly surge, wind speeds will increase to around cautionary levels and will create hazardous boating conditions for small craft operators,” Monday’s Hazardous Weather Outlook report noted.
As of Monday, the weather service expected the weekend to shape up to be a nice one. Daily highs in the low 80s are anticipated with lows in the lower 60s. Strong rain chances are not expected over the weekend, but that doesn't mean a few drops won't fall in some places in the region.
