Super Bowl 55 Coming To Tampa: NFL
NFL owners have voted unanimously to move Super Bowl LV to Tampa in 2021.

TAMPA, FL — Raymond James Stadium will be the site for Super Bowl 55 following a unanimous vote from the NFL’s owners on Tuesday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took to Twitter to share the good news. “The Super Bowl is coming back to Tampa! #SiegetheDay,” a Tuesday afternoon post on the team’s official Twitter account said.
The vote moved the site for the 2021 game from Los Angeles to Tampa. Los Angeles will host Super Bowl 56, according to the NFL. The move was prompted by delays in the construction of a new stadium in Los Angeles. Those delays, the NFL reported Tuesday, have been caused by record flooding and rainfall in the Los Angeles area.

NFL rules require that new stadiums must be open for at least two seasons before they can serve as Super Bowl sites. The Los Angeles stadium isn't projected to open until 2020 due to those rain-related delays.
Tampa hasn’t hosted a Super Bowl since 2009 when the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers came to town.
