Tampa SWAT Callout: Suspect In Custody
A person barricaded in a vehicle had forced the closing of some roads in the north Tampa area Thursday morning.

TAMPA, FL — Update July 27, 9:39 a.m.: The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reported just after 9:30 a.m. that the suspect had been safely taken into custody. Road in the area of Nebraska and Fletcher avenues should reopen within 30 minutes. No further information is available at this time.
Earlier: The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking motorists to avoid the area of East Fletcher and North Nebraska avenues Thursday morning.
According to the agency, its SWAT team was responding to a person barricaded in a vehicle in that area at 8:19 a.m. July 27.

As a result, all southbound lanes of Nebraska from Fletcher Avenue are closed down. Northbound lanes of Nebraska are shut down from Fowler. East- and westbound lanes of Fletcher Avenue are also closed at Nebraska.
“Please advise motorists to avoid the area,” an email from the agency said.
