FL-Based Restaurant Chain To Rebuild Flagship Location That Burned Down
A Tampa-based healthy food chain will rebuild its flagship location, which burned down in an early morning fire last year.

TAMPA, FL — After losing its flagship SoHo location to a fire last year, Tampa-based Fresh Kitchen plans to rebuild in a brand-new location, the company said in a news release.
The fast-casual healthy food chain will take over the former Ducky’s Sports Lounge space at 1719 W. Kennedy Blvd. The space will open by early 2026.
Just 1.5 miles from its original SoHo location, it will be the largest Fresh Kitchen yet at more than 4,000 square feet, doubling the size of a typical restaurant, the company said.

The chain’s original South Howard location burned down in an early morning fire on July 29, 2024, just one month shy of celebrating its 10th anniversary.
“We’ve always felt deeply connected to our Tampa community, and the support and love we received after the fire only strengthened that bond,” Tara O’Neill, president at Fresh Kitchen, said. “This new location is our way of giving back that love by creating an even better hub for our Fresh Kitchen fans and future team members. This new location is going to be something really special.”
