Here are the top stories today in Tampa:

1. Two new retailers, including a local furniture store and a boutique plant shop, are coming to Water Street Tampa this fall, according to developer Strategic Property Partners LLC. Dwell Home Market is opening at Asher and Yura Vine Brothers is opening at Cora. (Tampa Patch)

2. The United Soccer League and the Tampa Bay Rowdies are opening a soccer pitch in November at a site purchased in July of this year. It will be available for open play and local youth organizations and is part of a bigger project that will include a training facility. The Rowdies training facility is expected to open in early 2023. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Business Journal, Free: St. Pete Catalyst)

3. Colony Grill has opened at Midtown Tampa, a 22-acre mixed-use development project in west Tampa. The pizza sports bar is best known for its spicy jalapeño oil. Online ordering and delivery will be available. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

4. Tampa International Airport will conduct a multi-agency mass casualty exercise today. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires disaster drills every three years to keep airports prepared for potential major incidents. No impact to flight operations is expected to occur. (WFLA)

5. A baby dolphin rescued off Clearwater Beach in July cannot return to the wild, according to SeaWorld Orlando. SeaWorld Zoological Operations Vice President Jon Peterson said, "He doesn't have the skill sets to thrive nor survive in the wild, so if we were to return him back out, unfortunately, all he would do is perish."
