Tampa Bay Weekend Weather: Make Your Northern Friends Jealous

Breaking: Find out what's in store for the Tampa Bay area and beyond in the weather department Nov. 4-6.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents with northern friends and family who’ve already seen the season’s first snow fall may find the forecast for the weekend most especially satisfying. According to the National Weather Service, the Tampa Bay area is in for mild, sunny days and cool nights.

Friday gets things started with sunny conditions and a high in the low 80s anticipated. Rain isn’t in the cards, but that doesn’t mean a drop or two won’t fall somewhere in the region. Overnight, forecasters expect lows in the mid-60s with partly cloudy skies.

Saturday is expected to kick off with mostly sunny skies and a high around 81 degrees in much of the area. While the weather service doesn’t anticipate rain, forecasters at The Weather Channelsay there’s about a 10 percent chance. Partly cloudy skies are likely heading into the overnight hours when a low in the lower 60s is expected.

Looking ahead to the workweek, forecasters expect mostly sunny days with highs in the low 80s through Election Day, Nov. 8 at least. Overnight lows in the low 60s are likely Monday and Tuesday. As for rain chances, they don’t rise beyond that 10-percent mark until Saturday, Nov. 12, the weather channel reports.

With nothing but sunshine, blue skies and mild temperatures on the horizon for the next few days forecasters have no major weather warnings out for residents. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, however, is asking folks to take care when burning outdoors. The recent stretch of dry conditions has increased wildfire risks across the state, that agency reported earlier in the week.
