As of Friday, forecasters anticipated strong rain chances to remain in the cards well into the workweek ahead. The streak of daily highs in the 90s is also expected to continue.

While no organized, severe weather is forecast over the next few days, the weather service warns that the region’s normal summertime thunderstorms can create hazardous conditions. Gusty winds, heavy rain and deadly lightning strikes are all possible over the weekend ahead, forecasters noted in Friday’s Hazardous Weather Outlook report.
