Tampa Intersection Reopened After Suspicious Package Investigation
Roads reopened around Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and North Habana Avenue after package was determined to be safe.

TAMPA, FL — A Tampa intersection was closed Wednesday morning as police investigated a suspicious package. The item was found at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and North Habana Avenue.
The intersection was closed to traffic out of "an abundance of caution," according to a police statement, and motorists were encouraged to seek an alternate route.
Near 9 a.m., police released a statement that the package was actually a utility monitoring device. Traffic returned to normal.
