Tampa Man Accused Of Shooting Gun At Occupied Vehicle During Argument
Tampa police arrested a 26-year-old man Friday afternoon and charged him with firing a gun into a vehicle outside a home in Tampa.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa police arrested a 26-year-old man Friday afternoon and charged him with firing a gun into a vehicle outside a home in the 8700 block of North Brooks St., Tampa.
Police were called to the scene after an argument escalated with a man firing a gun into an vehicle. The person in the vehicle was not injured.
Police were told the shooter had barricaded himself inside the home. Traffic was closed between East Yukon Street and East Humphrey Street, and police negotiators were called in.

Negotiators eventually discovered that the man accused of firing the gun, Roger Williams, was not inside the home.
Detectives said they contacted Williams who agreed to return to the scene and they arrested him at a nearby intersection.

Williams has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle. He was taken to the Orient Road Jail.
