Tampa Man Went To Target, Never Came Home

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies need help finding a Tampa man who is missing and suffers from health issues.

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a missing 55-year-old man, who hasn't been home in days.

According to the agency, John Balaban said he was going to the 13658 University Plaza Target around 5:30 p.m. July 7 and hasn’t been seen since. John indicated he planned to return to his Banyan Court home around 7 p.m., an email from the sheriff's office said.

“John never returned home and does not have a cellphone,” the sheriff's office noted. “John has several health issues that require medication that he does not have with him. John may also be suicidal.”

Balaban is described as standing 6-foot-1. He weighs an estimated 180 pounds.
