Tampa Nightclub Homicide Victim ID’d

A 39-year-old man was killed when a fight broke out at the 3 AM Vibes nightclub Saturday.

TAMPA, FL — The 39-year-old man killed during a Saturday fight outside the 3 AM Vibes nightclub on Waters Avenue has been identified by Hillsborough County deputies.

Authorities say, Jose Anthony Quinones and Eric Rivera, 25, got into a fight in the 4025 W. Waters Ave. club’s parking lot. Quinones was injured during the altercation and ultimately died from the injuries, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

Rivera reportedly fled the scene after the fight, but deputies caught up with him a short time after the death was reported. He now faces a first-degree murder charge.

The sheriff’s office has not said what the fight between the two men was about. They have indicated Rivera had a weapon, but have not elaborated.
