  1. Tampa Riverwalk is in the running for an award from 10Best Reader's Choice Travel Award from USA Today. The award in contention is "America’s Best Riverwalks." 19 other riverwalks are also up for the nomination. (Patch Tampa)
  2. The Tampa Organization of Black Affairs is hosting the 43rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Breakfast. Dr. Rosyln Clark Artis will be this year's keynote speaker. She is the first Black woman to serve as president of Benedict College in South Carolina. (WFLA)
  3. Tampa realtors think planned changes to Hillsborough County schools could negatively impact the property values of residents in the county, partcularly impacting South Tampa homeowners. The loss could be dramatic and one realtor said, "I would say anywhere from 12 percent on the lower end to anywhere from 20-25 percent." (WTSP)
  4. A train struck a man in Tampa on Tuesday east of the intersection of Busch Boulevard and North Boulevard. The man was allegedly laying near the railroad tracks just after 11 a.m., according to police. An investigation is now underway by CSX law enforcement. (Tampa Patch)
  5. Gorkhali Kitchen, Tampa's first Nepali restaurant, is now open at 10044 Cross Creek Boulevard in New Tampa. "We wanted to bring the feeling of Nepal and introduce a new cuisine to Tampa," said owner Rajesh Pathak. Dishes include Momos, Tikka Masala, and Tandoori Wings. (That's So Tampa)
