TAMPA, FL — Miki Sudo, of Tampa, Florida, has won the women's division of this year's Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Sudo downed 33 hots dogs in just 10 minutes to take home the win at the Friday contest in Coney Island, NY. This is Sudo's 11th championship win, according to People.com.
But she did fall short of consuming her record-breaking 51 hots dogs, which happened during last year's contest.

“I feel like I let the fans down a little bit," Sudo told ESPN. “I had people in the crowd saying go for 52, and obviously I’m always setting my goals high. But the hot dogs just weren’t cooperating. For some reason the buns felt larger today."

Meanwhile, Joey Chestnut, 41, has reclaimed his title as the hot dog eating contest champion in the men's division after skipping last year's competition to take part in the Mustard Belt and due to a contract dispute. He scarfed down 70 1/2 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes to claim the win.

This fell short of his 2021 record of 76 hot dogs and buns, but was his 17th win in 20 appearances, according to ESPN.
