Test Drive A Tesla At Love Hillsborough Event
This sustainability event thrown by Hillsborough County is sure to show event goers a good time.
TAMPA, FL — The Love Hillsborough event, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13, is based on sustainability and meant to help residents show a little love to their loved ones and to the Earth.
"C'mon, you know you want to drive a Tesla," the event's description, sent by Hillsborough County, says. Event goers will be able to test drive one.
The event will kick off at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square at 600 E. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa.

According to the release, the event will feature:
- Exhibits by more than 40 County departments and other public and nonprofit organizations with information about their sustainable programs, including ideas you can use at home
- A variety of electric vehicles on display
- Sustainable gift ideas, crafts, and giveaways
- Following brief opening remarks, hop on board an electric bus for a quick demonstration ride, and test ride electric scooters
- Food trucks and music
Love Hillsborough will showcase the work done by the community and partners to conserve energy and preserve resources.

According to the release, the county saves over $3.5 million annually by reducing energy use and costs, like using recycled materials, solar panels, LED traffic signals, reducing carbon dioxide emissions and more.
