Watch: Tutu-Wearing Man, Accomplice Steal Fruit, Sodas, Deputies Say

Hillsborough County deputies are looking for two men in connection with a recent break-in at the Tampa Farmers Market.

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help identifying two men its deputies say broke into the Tampa Farmers Market Tuesday and helped themselves to a few consumables. One of the men, deputies say, was wearing a tutu at the time of the crime.

The break-in that’s led to the search for the two men occurred around 1 a.m. Nov. 1. Deputies say the men broke out a glass door to gain entry to the 1718 Fletcher Ave. E. farmers market. Once inside, the men began eating fruit and drinking soda, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

Surveillance video captured images of the men, but the two moved quickly to cover the camera with a cardboard box. One of the suspects is described as a white male with a thin build. He was dressed in a tutu and may have been wearing a cheerleading costume, the sheriff’s office said. It’s also possible he was wearing a wig. The second suspect was wearing a hoodie with an owl on the front, but a more detailed description is not available.
