1. World Central Kitchen continues efforts to feed those impacted by Hurricane Ian, including those without power in the Tampa Bay area and around the state. According to Chef Jose Andres, the organization has distributed more than 60,000 meals around Florida so far. (Florida Patch)
2. A Riverview martial arts instructor at Medina Martial Arts is accused of molesting his students, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO). Daniel Medina-Alvarez has been booked on 20 counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and one count of sexual battery. (WFLA)
3. Bartow first-responders rushed to rescue residents in Polk County from rising waters along The Peace River this weekend as residents face the after effect of Hurricane Ian. Some residents refused efforts to be transported to safety from the rising waters. (ABC Action News)
4. Frankie's Italian Deli in Riverview is growing its location nearly 2,000 square feet, according to a social media post from the business. The expansion will allow them to increase the deli and dessert items offered to customers. (That's So Tampa)
5. The annual Fox Squirrel Corn Maze is planned on Saturdays and Sundays in October through Oct. 23. This year is hosted by James Varn and will be held at 6151 Varn Road in Plant City. Food options include Smitty's Corn Dogs, The Cheesecake Lady, and a number of food trucks. (Osprey Observer)

- Ha Long Bay Vietnamese is set to open in New Tampa in the space previously used by Aroi Thai-Tsuyu at 20685 Bruce B. Downs Blvd by the end of the month. The restaurant will be owned by Nhan Nguyen and her husband Hai Chu. (New Tampa & Wesley Chapel Neighborhood News)
- Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties is seeking community support to provide relief to Southwest Florida. Their Clearwater and New Port Richey ReStores will be accepting cleaning and safety supply donations through Saturday, Oct. 15 to be taken to Southwest Florida. (Tampa Bay Newswire)
